No sound from soundbar bild 5 OLED

The sound from my soundbar has started to break up/fail. Audio works fine through the headphone jack and external klang 5 speakers (disabling soundbar as a centre speaker function). Resetting does not solve the matter. Any ideas?? ; I think the soundbar is faulty but will I be able to get a spare I wonder. TV is 18 mths old
I will try installing earlier software but I am pretty sure its a hardware issue

Unplugging the TV set from the mains appears to have now solved the issue
