Some simple questions about klang 1

Can someone please help with some very simple questions about the klang 1.

I live in Stockholm Sweden, and here there are no stores or showrooms that stock or demo the Klang speakers. No-one knows anything about them, and questions to the central suppliers go unanswered.

Before buying them (and I'm probably set to do this in spite of the difficulties), I'd just like to double-check some simple facts about them, which aren't explicitly answered by the website or manuals.

1. Obviously I'm assuming that the speakers operate directly together with the normal sound controls on a bild 1? They don't need to be adjusted separately (my partner and kids don't want to be fiddling with sub-menus to adjust external speakers)?

2. I'm hoping they add significantly to the sound quality of the bild 1? Is that people's experience?

3. I intend to buy the gray version of the speakers, to blend in with the room as much as possible. Are the cables supplied with the gray speakers also gray? Or have Loewe just supplied default black cables with all the colors?

I do wish Loewe would push their systems a bit more internationally. Here in Sweden it's only a few stores that have the TVs, and even they have no knowledge or interest in supplying or even demoing the accessories and peripherals.

Pity about the cables - I assume that any 2,5mm cables will work? So now I just need to find someone who makes nice cloth-covered audio cables...

Consider also the klang 1 SUB. My Connect SL320 and SL420 have great speakers integrated, which i use as center. But the SUB improves the sound impression seriously.

I know this isn’t the right forum for complaints, and Loewe employees don’t follow the forum, but as I said, it would be great if Loewe could lift their game a little - so that marketing and general awareness among their target audience was better. It’s very difficult to find out anything other than the initial press release concerning the Klang speakers.

And also the styling of their products needs to be lifted to the level we see from innovative small companies like Vifa in Denmark: the range of fabric covers and beautiful colors of their speaker systems compared to Black, gray or... gray from Loewe. Even a small thing like supplying a gray cable with a gray speaker would go a long way.

All of this I’d rather write to the company directly, but attempting to do so in Sweden only leads to the local agents, who represent dozens of foreign companies and are very peripherally engaged in improving Loewe’s standing amongst consumers.

A pity, as the products are so great in other respects!

Maybe still to come. Today‘s Loewe certainly got to focus on economic health, rather than the predecessor which almost went bankrupt.

I'm sorry to return with probably stupid questions, but I hope I can be helped again with my klang 1 dilemma.

I ordered the two satellite speakers from my local (and helpful) dealer, and paid a deposit. But today he rang me and said that the local Loewe distributor claims the satellite speakers cannot be used without the subwoofer.

Everything I've read suggested to me that the passive speakers are simply connected to the audio-out of the TV, and didn't need any other equipment to function as intended. Is that correct?

I've put the order on hold until I can be certain I don't also need to buy a subwoofer - which I really don't want to add to the system. I'm very grateful for any accurate information about this.

Nein, du kannst an den TV keine passiven Lautsprecher anschließen. Du brauchst in jedem Fall irgendeinen Verstärker. Beim klang 1 Sub sind die eben schon mit drin.

OK - so if I understand correctly, the klang 1 speakers cannot be connected to the bild 1, without an extra amplifier?

That's very disappointing. I'll have to cancel the order, after all.
