Should the TV always show an asterix indicating that the software was downloaded properly.

I have had this indicated on a previous software update but it isn't showing on the current update (2 Loewe TV's)

Whats the preferred way to load new software by USB or OTA??

The asterisk (actually not the friend of obelix) indicates a failed update. It must not be present and if so you should try to reinstall. So if you don't see it, everything is O.K.
