Wich colour space available in One 55 SL412
Verfasst: So 28. Jan 2018, 10:40
These days I'm experimenting with a Nvidia Shield 2017 connected on my Loewe One55 (built in 2017). Works pretty fine, but I've a question about the colour space.
Setting up the Nvidia Shield HDMI setting on 4:2:0 10 bit rec 2020 gives me a good HDR picture while playing back a HDR source. "Utra HD HDR10" is also displayed in the tv's infobar. This is possible using Kodi or Netflix.
When I'm playing back a "normal" full HD movie with the above HDMI settings, I get a weak picture, with poor colours. Setting up the shield in a 8-bit rec 709 setting, gives bright vivant colours. So just playing with the settings before I watch a concerning movie to get a good picture...
My questions:
1. I can't find any info about the used screen in my Loewe One 55. Is it possible that I don't have a "real" 10 bit HDR panel wich results in the poor colours in 10 bit rec 2020?
2. At the end of this year, I'm planning to buy a 65" OLED tv and the one 55 moves to my sleeping room. The bild 5.65 OLED is my all time favourite. Does somebody knows the results of playing back a normal full HD movie using the Shield setted up on 4:2:0 10 bit rec 2020?
Thanks a lot for the advice.
(Answer in German if you like... And maybe I have to write in. Could improve my knowledge of that language
, but I think you guys will laugh reading my German
