I can not confirm. All known formats are available. Do you mean Auto Format? There is on/off offered.

This is nothing we can help here. Please contact your dealer.

There should be a picture format button allowing adjustment to 16.9 etc etc not just auto format
Today when switching TV on it is there !; like the De-blocking filter adjustment it randomly removes itself from the menu
I will contact Dealer for repair advising it is not a software issue

Hi Mike,
are you using always the same signal source (e.g. HDTV or a specific HDMI source) where the settings are sometimes there and sometimes not?
I'm asking because I could imagine that for some sources specific options are not available.
Regards
Tobias

Following the thought from Tobias.K i did a quick check through the available picture settings on various sources/channels.
I can confirm the "Deblocking Filter" is not available on HDTV source channels (german television is using H.264 for HDTV, while SDTV is usually MPEG2 on DBV-C).
So it could be perfectly possible the missing picture format setting also being dependant on the source being viewed.

Hmm, i see the missing items on all here available DVB sources (SD, HD, UHD).
Maybe there is different stuff/formats in UK.

Hi there
Yes same source using inbuilt TV tuner
Its all a bit strange ; available sometimes, others not. Same for deblocking filter.
BTW there is a new board in the TV
Must admit not a major issue but the settings are evident my ART SL 410

Checking again it would appear to be linked to the Channel not Source eg HD/SD
Format/De-blocking disappears when watching BBC HD for eg but evident on other HD channels
Maybe Loewe will look into it?

Following recent software update:
SD broadcasts now give the following format options
16:9, 4:3, Panoramic 1/2 + zoom
HD same as before
Also when watching HDR enabled Bluray via HDMI 1, the preset HDR10 format is set at 16:PC which presumably cannot be correct

Hi Mike,
assuming that the BluRay is UHD:
For UHD source, I don't have any picture format setting either, but in my opinion it makes perfect sense not to use any overscan or other scaling when using a source in the native display resolution.
Best regards
Tobias

Thank you for your courteous and prompt reply Tobias
Yes the player is UHD, a Sony UBP X 800
I understand your point; would I be correct that the 16:9 PC format doesn't use apply any scaling to the picture , whereas all the rest do?

Hi Mike,
yes, "16:9 PC" is the Loewe nomenclature for "overscan off", so each pixel from the source is designated one pixel on the display. 16:9 TV is "overscan on" and all others are somehow zoomed.

Thanks
Tobias in Germany do you also find the format options for SD DVB differs from HD DVB , or is it something to do with the transmitters in the UK
Kind regards

Hi Mike,
they do differ:
For DVB-C (Vodafone) SD, I have: 16:9, 4:3, Panorama 1, Panorama 2, Zoom; Auto-format is on by default
For all HD sources (720 and 1080), I have: 16:9 PC, TV and Zoom and 4:3 PC, TV and Zoom; Auto-format is off by default
For UHD from my XBox One S, I have no format settings.
Fyi: Deblocking Filter is available for all sources. But I habe an SL310 chassis.
Regards
Tobias

Thanks as I suspected they do differ depend on source/broadcast carrier and not a software fault
