Play ISO on Compose Individual 3D

Is there a way to have the NMP in the Compose Individual 3D play ISO files from a UPnP source?

Thanks

It's up to the UPnP server to provide the content of an ISO mage to an UPnP client (i.e. your Loewe tv set).

Yes I know but I have a Synology DS211j that supports the ISO format so the problem is with the UpnP client (i.e. my Loewe tv). The ISO files show up under MediaHome but when select one and try to play it nothing happens.

There is the problem: the server advertises ISOs as a whole rather than splitting it into individually consumable media files. This is what UPnP AV is all about. A server has two choices with ISO images: playing by the UPnP rules and doing what it needs to do, or not serving the ISO file container at all.

So do you have a different UPnP server that does serve the ISO's in the right format so the Loewe NMP will play it? Or do you know if the Loewe NMP supports SMB/CIFS/NFS cause in that case it should work as UPnP is no longer the limitation (as it not used).

XBMC is both capable of handling ISOs just fine and acting as UPnP AV / DLNA server, even though it's main purpose is quite the opposite: render media content. The same is true with foobar 2000, but restricted to audio content only. AFAIK NMP can't access media files by ordinary file protocols like CIFS or NFS, but I may be wrong. And even if it could, it would see a plain ISO file container rather than it's content.

This is the perfect time for a Loewe NMP user with experiences in playing ISO images to chime in ...
