TV fails to execute JB compensation cycle

A fellow Loewe owner has reported the following on a UK forum site:

For about 2 days now, my bild 7 cannot end the OLED auto calibration process.

Each time I switch it on, I get an error message saying that the process could not end and will start again next time the TV is off.

The LED indicator is well turning blue for a while, then white, as this is usually the case when the process works.

Can anyone help him? it has just passed the 1500 hr mark so he is pretty sure its the JB cycle that isn't completing. He doesn't want to reset the TV as its calibrated. He has been into the service menu and tried to manually run the JB cycle but nothing appears to be happening (would you normally get a message/LED turn blue as per RS cycle)??

I am that French guy ! :-)
Menu indicates that JB compensation tried 87 times but never succeeded.
However the error count is showing zero.
Each time I switch TV on I have the same error message saying that calibration could not perform.
I try now for a second time a manual launch of JB from service menu but it seems it does not work.

As usual, without even mentioning the exact firmware version on the affected tv sets, every advice is in vein (besides "upgrade to the latest one - now"). There have been firmware versions with problems in this regard.

I am using the 5.1.8 which is the latest available on my TV.

Fine - or not: in this case I am out of ideas for which reasons the JB compensation might fail. Unless somebody else jumps out of the bushes with a bright idea that cures all ailments in the world I see two options to proceed from here:

1. Do a factory reset. If you safe your tv sender lists to USB beforehand and restore them afterwards, the only stuff that will be lost are just a few options. All recordings will be kept unadorned. The whole process including the restore and option setting should take no more than about 10 minutes.
2. Ask your dealer for help. He may get additional advise straight from the horses mouth in Kronach.

Yes I should wait for their advice I guess.

I fear for all my screen calibration made by a profesional.

A factory reset would kill all the work.

I was also interested in knowing who "passed" the JB and the behaviour of the TV (sound, screen and LED indicator) during that process.

My panel was subject to three JB compensations so far. I can't tell you anything about my tv's behaviour during that process because I happen to sleep at that time.

I don't want to take the risk of losing all calibration efforts for now.

Do you think that the fact of JB not going to its end could damage my screen ? Or only makes the image less "perfect"?

I try to limit use that of this set, pedigree situation is solved.

The fewer the JB compensations, the longer the least worn-out subpixel will live. The more JB compensations, the more uniform and colour-true the image will be. It's a trade-off.
